BUSINESS DESCRIPTION:

WEB MASTER (Walker's):

As Web Master Assistant you will be responsible for the production and maintenance of Walker's internal and external web sites. This includes expanding Walker's intranet, and creating an external customer communication web site, on-line fulfillment kits, and multi-media presentations. You will also edit graphical elements, re-format text, and assure hyperlink integrity, file transfer, translation and posting of new material to the pages involving HTML scripting.

You will manage and collaborate with designers and copywriters to deliver outstanding HTML pages that achieve Walker's business objectives. You will manage, schedule and maintain original on-line content with the purpose of attracting new users and encourage repeat visits.

You will coordinate ad campaigns, and manage web site inquiries, directing mail to appropriate parties. You may also assist in planning overall company strategy involving internet usage and will work with the Marketing team to make decisions regarding web development.

You will manage our outside Web vendors doing site architecture, design, editing and production for our public Web site. You will provide content to vendors and manage updates and changes to our HTML pages.

You will work with the tech team to review and select technology to support future growth, dynamic publishing, definition and execution of security access and password protection. You will assure performance of the web server and site technical performance. You will compile, analyze, and report statistics regarding "hits" to the web site.

You will be responsible for Walker's intranet and will act as the in-house guru on all intranet activities. You will update the intranet to incorporate the latest additions including customer relations, product development, marketing programs, investment Info, competitive info, pricing, collateral PDF's, application downloads and more. You will create buttons and other graphical elements. You will integrate various web processes being conducted throughout the company and respond to all departmental requests. You will help Walker have a user friendly intranet with all the information that employees want to access. You will work with various departments to identify their information distribution objectives and develop plans for Web delivery. You will interact closely with direct marketing, customer management, business development, and other departments to turn concepts into compelling consumer messages. You will provide employees with procedures for posting their own content on the web and support them in doing so. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years experience in Web site project management, content development, site architecture, and HTML production. Photoshop skills, and experience using Freehand and/or Illustrator; a solid understanding of the Internet and Internet tools.

Ability to update and design web pages, post documents, etc. Experience with HTML production in a business context is required. Excellent knowledge of browser and web technology required. Requires knowledge of commercial internet/web tools and protocols. Excellent knowledge of PC environment. You must have a thorough knowledge of web functions and have an understanding of web architecture. FTP protocols, NT operating server - IIS 4.0, SQL 6.5 Database, ASP, and Javascript. Familiarity with designing for browsers (Netscape, Internet Explorer, Opera). Proficiency in Photoshop and other leading design tools. Knowledge of Director, Premiere, or Flash is a plus.

Motivated, creative person with excellent communication skills. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills are critical to this position. Self-starter with ability to take the lead on projects and work independently as well as being part of various teams.

This critical role requires great organizational skills and the ability to juggle many projects at once. Very strong project management skills and strong attention detail. Ability to maintain work plans to complete projects on time and on budget. Ability to provide on-line marketing strategy and implementation. Strong writing skills.
